UNDERUTILIZED TOWN ASSETS COMMITTEE
Regular Meeting
September 11, 2012
Members Present: Tom Daly, Phil Mighdoll, Henry Beth, David Krashes, Larry Deblois. Mickey Splaine did not attend.
The meeting was called to order at 7:15.
Minutes were read and approved, 5-0.
Phil provided an update from BOS meeting regarding forestry project. There was no consensus as to where the proceeds from logging would be applied. Parks and Rec may feel the money is for their projects and our committee would like to see the funding used as seed money to dispose of Town assets. The committee realized that all funds flow into the General Fund and ATM approval is necessary for expenditures.
Dave brought the application for State grant money for forestry management plan . Phil will take to John Lebeaux to be signed and submitted. The deadline is in May.
The committee will create a budget request to send to BOS for the marketing of Mountain Rd and Hubbardston Rd lots. Phil and Larry suggested perc costs should be paid by purchaser. All agreed. Tom will clarify survey costs with Doug Andrysick.
Efforts will be made to find the deed for Hubbardston Rd property. Phil will contact Terri.
Henry discussed the MGLs he found which said assets can be disposed of via most effective means. A copy was sent to John Lebeaux for him to confirm. Tom suggested we try through MLS Brokerage and if that doesn’t work try the auction process.
Larry moved to adjourn, Dave seconded. 5-0
